FAQ.

Where does the backup data live?+

Your S3-compatible target in the EU, or on-prem NAS. We do not ingest your backup data into our infrastructure.

Do restore points depend on each other?+

Every restore point is independent. It depends only on its own manifest and on the content-addressed blocks it references. The expiry, deletion or loss of any other point, the first full backup included, does not affect it. There is no chain of incrementals to rebuild, and no periodic full backups are required.

Can I test backups automatically?+

Yes. Daily checksum verification + scheduled restore tests. Failures auto-create tickets.

What triggers ransomware guard?+

Unusual file-change patterns (entropy, rate, extension). Per-endpoint baseline. Tunable thresholds per-client.
